PURPOSE
To educate and empower communities we deliver workshops, demonstrations, classes and community learning opportunities focused on the creative arts including sewing.
To advance environmental sustainability by promoting textile reuse, and circular fashion practices that extend the life cycle of garments and textiles
To support artistic innovation and creative expression
To foster community engagement and collaboration and encourage made in Canada solutions to address issues connected to the impact of the fashion industry on the environment.
To Educate and Entertain by hosting events, competitions, and public initiatives—such as the Eco-Chic Threads of Change Charrette
To develop and present Eco-Chic Charrette as a signature community program
To promote inclusivity and cultural diversity by creating accessible opportunities for collaboration with individuals of diverse backgrounds to participate in sustainable fashion-based programming.
