I think dots will always be in trend, and for summer, the bigger DOTS the better. Keep your good quality polkas for a restyle into the latest look.
Use as accents, to complement a plain fabric or go for a dynamic look by pairing with another geometric - think stripes and DOTS. You can use your DOT pieces for frills, flounces,
crops, elongations and more.
This classic black and white polyester DOT piece was birthed a Kaftan. By opening the side seams, I have transformed it into versatile kimono which moves with the body and the breeze. I opted for a casual look in this video, by layering the DOTTED Kimono over a black and white top and legging combo. Next I will use the Kimono over an all black and all white catsuits, maybe even use it as a head wrap. What do you think?
Would you transform your well loved kaftan into a kimono to extend its life ?

I like my Kaftans to stay Kaftan
Those ACCORDION SLEEEVES!! I loved this top - great darker teal colour which I wore year round...in the summer I added brights and it became the bright with my winter neutrals. The fabric is a light synthetic over a shantung, together they provided a lovely drape and flow. A round neck and elasticized hem and gentle shaping made this the perfect easy wear top. Add those accordion sleeves and suddenly I would gesture here and gesture there and fling my hands in the air! such a happy time I had with this blouse until the stain appeared..I don't know how it came but it would not leave so I restyled.
Of course, when I think of renew, my mind always goes to ANKARA. I love those cloths - they are so full of life and colour. Most of mine are 100% cotton and if maintained properly can keep going and going >>>> And I can always find an ANKARA to match the existing garment. I settled on a bright ANKARA with complimentary yellow and orange prints but the same shade of teal. I knew I had to keep the ACCORDION sleeves, but did I really need 2? And maybe I ALTER the neckline and length - and that my friends is how this ASYMMETRIC creation was birthed. I would love to know your thoughts. Would you wear this? rate this top from 1 - 10.
